January 22nd, 2010 - By robbyhakim - Posted in Uncategorized

I have been helping people with computer problems for over 20 years now. Viruses are rising and will continue to increase. I use the term virus, but which belongs to viruses, spyware, trojans, worms, browser attacks, or any combination of the foregoing. I’ll explain some common measures that will take care of most viruses that infect computers.

Some clues that appear in an infected computer include:
Blue Screen of Death
Anti Virus 2009
Pop-ups
Computer seems to be freezing
Loss of internet connection
Windows does not start

These are just a few, hardware problems are only about 10% of the problem. My last one I destroyed Virus.Win32.Virut.ce (December 21, 2009). Your first step is to backup your data if you can not save. Then on the first possible chance you have no executable!

Careful with it as it is a little on the delicate side. It infects and attaches to your executable to run and spread itself. I watched the best anti virus programs get off on it. Kaspersky Anti Virus real time protection was disabled Bit Defender anti virus is not open to scan. Malwarebytes is not updated. With no internet on that computer is a challenge for me.

Yes, I have removed the hard drive and scan with another computer. It’s not fun, beating the viruses’ gives a person a feeling that I crashed there and ready for the next. Or I could have saved and Windows formatted.

So are you ready for solutions? Above all, do not do what I did, there was no real help on the web for this one I could find. I dug into the registry and I saw a couple of issues that were not supposed to be there. When I deleted them, I think I spilled the virus was created around 1500 + viruses at this point.

Now I have a lot of viruses on the computer and I could not go into safe mode I would get the Blue Screen of Death. I downloaded Dr. Web from another computer so it was updated.

She found the virus in 1500 and removed them for me. I felt very well at this point thinking it was too easy and it was. I went to restart Windows and found when I tried to connect, I disconnect immediately.

The next step was to see if I could fix corrupted files in Windows. I set the BIOS to boot from a CD / DVD and inserted my Windows XP Disc. When the disk is running Windows, it asks if you want to repair Windows do not use this option. Wait until it finds the Windows operating system. At this point choose your Windows operating system, and choose Repair. It will look is to install Windows, but what does it repair your Windows structures.

Your data should not be erased I say this because he is not supposed to do. If she does contact me saskatooncomputerrepair.ca your data can still be restored from a formatted hard disk.

Once Windows has finished I found that I could now log in Virus.Win32.Virut.ce was not yet completely disappeared. I had to scan again with Dr. Web restarting second thought here we go again. I was able to connect to this and the next time Windows is loaded, but he was looking for notepad. Dll at startup.

I caught Notepad another computer and disabled the startup entry. Then I did a search in the registry and the Windows search for notepad.dll. I found another one and delete it. Once again I restarted the computer and hopes to be able to log into another partial victory as I could access the profile and no error notepad.dll.

Wow I installed Malwarebytes and I was able to update, Nice looking good, then I installed Bit Defender installed and I was able to update. I won!

I ran Malwarebytes, Bit Defender, and Dr. Web, all three showed me any viruses. Done or what I thought. Remember at the beginning of the article I said this Virus.Win32. Virut.ce It infects and attaches to your executable to run and spread itself.)

I just built a computer and installed Windows, I left my USB stick that I used to download Dr. Web. Well, he was sick and nailed the new computer. I remember USBs which had a single switch read how I miss those. Since this was a new installation of Windows I just re-run setup and made sure I formatted this computer. Lost half an hour with this new computer everything. It made me laugh about it.

You probably wonder how can I get this virus off My USB now, right? Well, I have a picture on my machines and in the case of any problem I can run the image. I will not go into much detail here as I do custom images for people so they can get rid of 99.9% of viruses out there. The image takes 10 to 15 minutes on average to run and your data is safe on another drive.

A couple of solutions before I go if you download a program on an infected computer and install it did not rename the installation file that certain viruses are in search of this configuration file. For example: (file Malwarebytes is Mbam-setup.exe) to change to something like setup.exe. Also there are some who do not let you run after the configuration to access the default location (C: Program FilesMalwarebytes Anti-Mal ware) Search Mbam or mbam.exe depends on whether you have extensions appear on your computer or not. Re-name or Mbam mbam.exe Bam or bam.exe then boot from the file you just renamed. Malwarebytes also takes some time to start and even when you’re infected. This program will run in safe mode, make sure you have the latest definitions before running it.

This is just a typical day when I fight the virus. I hope this helps many people with the amount of virus focus on people. You can also contact me to do it for you. I am a programmer and computer viruses are written by programmers say, then I understand that infections do.
